The Lucai Christmas 2007

We had a great time at Christmas! It did have it's share of difficulties, but the joy of seeing my children at this time cannot be surpassed.
We started with our Christmas Eve Pizza Party where we made over ten pizzas.
We opened presents on Christmas Day and then headed to Pappa and Nonna's for the world's best lasagna. We ate too much as we knew we would.
We traveled to Manassas to see the rest of the family for a longish weekend.
Brian is dutifully going back to work on Monday, but he really has enjoyed the time off with the boys.
Happy New Year to all.

Doumar's

I took the boys to Doumar's for breakfast the other day.

Robert was fascinated with Albert Doumar as he was making the famous Doumar's ice cream cones. Mr. Doumar is the son of Abe Doumar, who is acknowledged to have invented the ice cream cone at the 1904 World's Fair in St. Louis. To learn more about this click on this link.

Carter just wanted to eat.

Train show

We took Robert and Carter to the annual train show at the Avalon Church of Christ in Virginia Beach. The Tidewater Big Train Operators Club puts on a huge display of model trains. Our kids were fascinated. Check out their website for their hours and directions. It's free!

Holiday photo shoot

My neighbor Kelly takes great pictures. She took this photo of the boys that we are using on our Christmas card. If you're interested in other photos, visit www.willettedesigns.com.

Thanksgiving 2007

We all went to visit the family in New Jersey for the holiday. We took the Cape May ferry. You'll see some shots of the boys loving the whole experience.
We had beautiful weather for Thanksgiving day. It was in the 60s. We took Robert to New York City for the day where we saw the Macy's Parade from the top of the Empire State Building. We also went to Rockefeller Center and Times Square. Robert loved it all including the train ride from Jersey and the subway. He brought his MetroCard for show-and-tell today.
We had a great time with the family. It is always good to get together.
Enjoy the photos.

We're new to this internets thing

We decided to try to keep in touch with people better by creating a blog. I hope that you enjoy the photos on the slideshow below.
The photo on the left is of this book that I found about Ronald Reagan at a discount store. Brian thought it was hysterical.
Happy Thanksgiving to all.
